I'm thinking about getting this. Anyone have any experience with it?

>inb4 what do you need it for?
Going cross state and hunting boars with it. Unless I should use something better?

You'll find nothing better in that caliber that's being produced in this day & age.
Boars, whitetail, elk, etc., and most mid to large game in the US can be taken out with this with relative ease.

>But the screws on MOS
Unfortunately they're literally the cheapest thing I've ever come across in terms of optic mounting plates. Not only did mine loosen WITH loctite, the goddamn things strip with even the slightest torque right out of the box.

Not sure if 10mm is enough for a boar
Otherwise, it seems like a good fun setup
>>
>>30630615
If you want to be safe, get a mechtech CCU upper for it. 10mm out of a carbine length barrel will DEFINITELY be enough for piggies, especially with big Glock mags.
>>
>>30630637
Not trying to unconvince OP, just trying to avoid buying a new gun

Isn't 45 a better option (ignoring capacity, just bullet vs bullet), I mean it's bigger right?
I could take my 45 glock and go boar hunting?

10mm is a much better round overall for getting through bone due to higher velocity. 45's will get in but not as far.

I want one so bad but 1200 bucks is pretty steep for a boutique pistol that's not some retarded custom 1911.
Probably get one eventually.
Going to take a whitetail this year with my CC. Should get a 6'' barrel but deer walk through my yard all day, can get w.in 25y no problem.

What about a knife while watching TV?

But seriously its not that hard on the highway
>>
>>30631572
10mm is .40 cal, so not a huge size difference, and there's a lot more energy behind a 10mm than a .45ACP.
>>
>>30631886
Rockset is a much better idea.

Takes the heat better
>>
>>30631886

so ATOM slides and ATEi and ZEV aren't out of a job? and Hilton Yam's criticism of the M&P CORE still ring true with the Glock-brand Glock? you don't say.

the P320 Romeos should be better because they're designed around the SIG-brand RMR and not a universal solution.

the rear of a slide shouldn't get that hot.

>Isn't 45 a better option (ignoring capacity, just bullet vs bullet), I mean it's bigger right?
>I could take my 45 glock and go boar hunting?

Depends IMO. Hot loadings of .45 can take white-tail deer (I shit you negative) but boars are tough and dangerous. I'd prefer 10mm. But a Buffalo Bore loading of .45, AND a gun that's tough enough to eat that ammo (like your Glock) would do pretty good. Ogive .45 is a pretty solid performer vis a vis penetration.

So tl;dr if you don't want to drop dosh on a new 10mm, buy some Buffalo Bore .45 ACP; the hottest shit you can find.
>>
>>30631681
pls but an ein before the Köder, we need to have Ordnung
>>
Is there any good full-power 10mm plinking ammo?

I don't want to get used to my gun with underpowered loads, nor do I want to waist my underwood.
>>
How is that 17L? I like the long slide look of the 34/40/17L but is it just as good as the 17?

OP here

I think I got the answer I needed, but I had a couple more questions.

What sights should I get for it? Also would something like pic related be worth getting?

Sig Makes a good round at about $23-24/50 Round box. Brass new loads, 180 Gr FMJ.

I'd get
>burris fastfire 2
>Vicker's elite battlesights
>ghost trigger connectors
>alternatively a 25 cent trigger job

As for the stock and grip... I'd have to say that it's not worth it. If you're willing to drop $750+ on a handgun, only to slap on a stock/grip/extended barrel/scopes/etc., then why not just buy or build a decent rifle?
At least that's my point of view on those kinds of things.

>>
>>30629724
So what is better?
10mm or .45 ACP?
And why?
Need to know because I'm seriously thinking of getting a Glock 21 .45ACP.
Mainly because Stoppin powah capacity.
Its either that or some HK USP in .45acp
And i dont want an FN-squishys-quishy

10mm.

larger expansion, deeper penetration, more capacity, less weight.

I will typically say 10mm. In glockland the 20/21 are the same size with extra capacity going towards the 10mm and the hottest load goes to the 10mm as well.

ok thx. now its a matter to decide between the G20 or the G40
from what i can tell so far the only difference is the G40 is basically just a long-slide version of the G20?
>>
>>30633709
Pretty much.

If it's for hunting get the 40 but if you want to carry it the 20 is probably the better option.

I am >>30633594
So the difference is a little additional weight and longer barrel on the the G40. This will give you a little more muzzle Velocity of the G20 and a longer rail to play with. The Guide rod on the G40 is not full length so that saves you a little weight of what it could have been. The longer barrel will also give you better muzzle rise control. I have a TLR2 on mine so It would be about the same in Believe. If you get it and the recoil is too much just get spring upgrade to 22# from the stock 18#. I choose the G20 as my Duty weapon when I am working with the Local Sheriff's office.

10mm is definitely enough if you use the right rounds and hit it in the right place

Try Sig Elite or Tanfoglio...

RMR or Delta Point Pro.
