I sincerely don't see the issue with ze/zir pronouns, touhou is similarly obscure and leaves a lot for speculation but this guy takes it one step further with gender.

People around here misunderstand the whole thing. The only reason he doesn't say "Oh, X is a girl." or anything similar is because he wants to attempt to show how cute or cool a character can be regardless of gender. As such, he says "leave the gender to your imagination, be it guy or girl."
The whole deal with the pronouns is how tumblr saw this and instantly found ways to engrain itself on the series. People assume JynX is just doing this because of tumblrshit when he's just leaving too much information for the fanbase to interpret. People around here just don't see that, which is a shame.

It's to be expected. Last time I lurked one of these, some guy was crying about BPoHC being a horrible game because he got inverted controls and darkness events while he didn't even played the tutorial to explain the game's mechanics. I should've screencapped it.

Not like there's much else to discuss, it's just a sub-par Touhou knockoff.
I wouldn't go so far as to call them bad, exactly, but there's a lot of room for improvement that doesn't seem to have even been attempted in the span of three games. And then rather than getting a handle on how to design a normal danmaku well, the creator decided to bite off way more than he could chew doing some huge, overcomplicated 'experimental' game instead. It's kind of frustrating, considering the potential that seems to be there.
Maybe if he makes another couple games, quits, then comes back in five years publishing on a different platform, they'll be good.
