It's pretty up in the air. Some anons have theorized that there's a good chance we can get a yearly thing going on; a number of the shows this year have sold out, and the concert is doing very, very well in general. Crypton might see this as their chance to really bring Miku over.

I'm not sure if I'm going. It's literally in the opposite direction of the venue from where I'm coming in, which basically means two equal-length subway trips. It'll probably depend on what time I get into the city.
I intend to be there early enough to provide at least some last-minute help to the anons going to the afternoon show, but I'm going to the evening one. IMHO, that's the only real way to enjoy a concert in the city. The afternoon concerts feel like matinees stocked with little kids, especially given an act as relatively wholesome as Miku.

Actually I think its fine that artists in general depict miku with their own style. But because this is an official representation for fans with certain expectations, you should stick to a more generally agreed on style. This isn't your deviantart page. Second, a lot of the designs have been very very simplistic or lazily done. One was caught plagiarizing c'mon. And my final minor gripe is that most have nothing to do with their city. It's like they didn't even read the prompt. Seattle really had it all.

I bought the Chicago poster because I traveled a long way to see the Expo again and wanted some memento specific to the Chicago stop of the tour. I would have preferred a prettier, more Anime-styled Miku, so I hope my purchase doesn't give the wrong impression.
I feel like Crypton got punished for trying to do a good thing for the fans with the posters. I mean, the simplest thing would have been to take submissions and just pick one for the poster, but they went out of their way to commission original illustrations make something fresh.
However, they got screwed by artists who didn't take Miku or their commissions seriously.

This. Miku and the Vocaloids in extension are all about fan based work and collaboration. It's in the spirit to have fans make the posters.
