I went to what is probably Canada's largest otaku-dedicated store last Christmas (a 500 sq ft. basement in Toronto, on the edge of Chinatown).
As I browsed for Touhou goods I saw a young Chinese teenage girl working, stocking shelves.
I felt sad for her. Her eyes and facial expressions had a certain emptiness inside them, as she monotonously folded and stocked pornographic daki covers and laminated posters.
I feel a certain pride in knowing that my country is a soul-draining lich kingdom.
