Every year at new years eve, there is a special show 5-6 hours long usually that I've been watching, along with the smaller versions of it called: DO NOT LAUGH <....> [Gaki no Tsukai Warate wa Ikenai Series] and they do various scenarios every year.
At the 2010-2011 years episode, even though so far I watched the older episodes subbed, I found a stream online and watched that episode live. I was laughing my ass off by the obvious jokes but I pretty much got nothing from the show (as expected).
BUT!, That was my turning point. I decided I need to learn Japanese. I often found videos online from various prank (dokkiri) shows and always laugh my ass off but didn't have a clue what they said. But there are no Japanese schools, private tutors or any means for me to actually have a teacher at my home town and the nearest one is like 500km away. SO, I turned to Youtube at first.
GUESS what shows are all over youtube: AKB shows. And the one that got me hooked instantly that time ...
AKBingo! It was like nothing I've seen before. I mean I've seen weird shows but never show having 13-17yo girls strapped on a chair with some comedians ass coming towards their face. Plus the over-reaction Japanese people tend to have made it a hit for me. So I watched a lot of it. Which ofc lead to Shuukan AKB and many others that followed.
It WAS NOT EASY AT ALL. Especially with no teacher correcting me. If I learned something incorrectly, that was it. A 22min episode used to take me 4-5 hours to watch/pause/translate/rewatch/practice listening etc. But I liked doing it so I continued.
Ofc, I followed AKB since then and I got hooked with them, BUT, I never really had an oshimen. When the scandal with Sashihara happend and she was transferred to HKT, it was around the same time I was starting to get "a bit" tired of AKB [And I stress "a bit" cause I was looking for something or someone on the group and I couldn't find my oshimen]. About 5 months later, when some new shows with HKT started airing, I saw a lot of new FRESH faces at HKT and I was having the same feelings I did when I started with AKB years ago.
There was a girl in HKT that was so funny, with such awesome reactions, and so fresh that I finally found someone I liked to support ! TOOK ME LONG ENOUGH !

NOW WE COME TO THE TITLE of the post. Today I changed my flair from HKT to N46. And I did it without any hesitation. That was what kinda scared me. It took me so much time to find a girl I liked and would like to support, and just like that, 2 years later, I changed. I never thought this would happen at least not before that said member graduates. I read some post on various forums and threads of people saying that "When I met her I changed my Oshi" or "First time I saw her she won me over" but I though that was BS. If it took me 2-3 years to find a member I really like (and I am picky on those things), that would be it, I THOUGH...
Nogizaka46 is (or at least looks like it is) the perfect group for me. I kinda don't like conflicts and try to avoid as much as I can and the conflicts with AKB48G are getting a bit out of hand. While in NGZ46 the members seem to be VERY close together. Now there where conflicts and the sawed that at some shows they did (like the tension that they had when Manatsu was selected as a front member out of the blue) but the members hide it pretty well then, and the words they said reflect that. Don't remember who said it: "We all knew that this was not Manatsu's fault she was put there"
** Anyway, here is the weird part **
I left my oshimen on HKT to support NGZ46 and do you know which member made me do this? For which member I abandoned my oshimen?
NONE!!! I don't have an oshimen in NGZ46. NGZ46 is my oshimen. The group is who I like and the group is who I will support from now on.
I only hope (REALLY REALLY HOPE) I will not have to change again.
