Well, it's not like I can really do much about it even if I don't like it, since literally the only way to stop it would be to censor people who make touhou references, crossovers and the like.
Too many people still naively think that Touhou is some underground niche that the normals will never know about. We're already seeing western games with major Touhou influences like Undertale.

Anon wasn't telling you to stop making the threads you want, so there is nothing to accept or resist. General people can stick to the generals they want, other people can make the threads they want, or vice-versa.
You have to admit though, that while general threads aren't anything special, they are at least self-contained and people usually aren't rampantly making threads about things that already are in said generals. Touhou threads are a dime a dozen and so, quantity falls over quality and we rarely have a Touhou thread that's original or fun (mind you, I'm not saying never), but for some reason, nobody is clamoring for the Touhou threads to be cointained in a general, even though many of them very well could be consolidated.
This is fair though, it's part of this imageboard's culture since forever ago, I guess.
The majority of Japanese fanart is already Touhoufied manga and anime scenes to begin with.

The last chapter alone is so much longer with more and better content and real healing items. Or the wrestling chapter has Cirno actually getting xp and levels so she isn't completely underleveled once you reach the last chapter. The spacestattion chapter had the better minigame imo because I love block slide puzzles and it was a cute reference. I liked live-a-live a lot but touhou-a-live made it so much better still.

It was Oxford. They had a rotating banner with multiple images including other facets of Japanese culture (sushi, temples, ect...). Aya was the last image in the rotation and was removed from the rotation at some point. Now they have a lame single image that disappears at the top, shoving menu options upwards in what can only be described as UI massacre.
