All of it is acted and scripted except for the American. Then, the translation the American got was completely wrong, to make it fit a script.
However, that does not make this video less educational.

I watched it a few years ago and thought that the interviews "in the scene" were cool. How do you think Gainax would handle a documentary on the modern otaku scene?
