So amazon.jp opened up in the west, what are you buying? post tips of good catches etc
Japan does not have the same obscenely low price of labor (relative to the West) as China. Also, cheap Chinese shit is usually accessible by a middleman expediting shipment from within China, where many Japanese gizmos and adult items are made only for domestic consumption, unless available elsewhere.
Also, it just opens up more options for items which were already shipped to the west, like video games. It doesn't allow R-18 items, which would be the real game changer for /jp/. For now proxy companies are still the way to go.

I don't know what shipping amazon.co.jp is offering now, but I remember buying stuff from there back in 2012 and back then they only shipped by courier.

About a month ago amazon jp opened up to shipping games, game consoles, figurines and probably a lot more stuff that I don't pay attention to. Previous you could ship books and cds (maybe more I don't know).
However it's only on stuff sold by amazon them-self (no fulfilled by amazon, work for cds and books) which means no cheap used items. No preorders (works for cds and books).
