Maybe her Q could be a weak and disposable makai citizen who patrols around the map that you can have many of, her W could be a stronger makai citizen who guards certain spots that you can have a few of, and her E could be yumeko, which is fairly strong, but is set to protect a specific hero (including yourself) and there can only be one of her. Maybe her ult could be a passive that gives her damage and stats for however many citizens are active at the moment.

It took like two years to fully comprehend how to play every hero or role competently and that was before Dota 2 beta was even released. I was stuck with HoN which was pretty much a faithful clone at that time. DotS shouldn't be too difficult to get the hang of.

I've seen Cirno carry multiple games before by using her early game abilities to snowball build like an autoattacker. Not to mention her ult can be used as a free BKB that hurts/sometimes stuns people.
And Rumia only needs to secure farm in the laning phase, then she can roam freely as long as she's getting kills (which should be easy enough).
Youmu does indeed need a little farm, but certainly not 45 minutes of it. Her ult is fucking crazy with her passive maxed out, as it's doing 5 hits with -3 armor each, making her easily able to kill squishy heroes with her ult alone.
Pretty much what I'm saying is that if the hero can consistently kill other heroes, there's really no need keep yourself in the jungle for over half the game. Byakuren just works differently than most other carries. The only other heros in the same boat as her would be Aya, Reisen, and Koishi.

Snowballing =/= carrying.
Carries are weak early to mid game and scale extremely well with items, such is the case of Youmu, Byakuren, Aya and Koishi.
Cirno is strong early to mid game, and the fact a hero that is strong early in the game can snowball doesn't turn her into a proper hard-carry by virtue of her winning some games because she got out of control.
Rumia is odd since she can do work at almost all stages, but that just might be due to a flawed concept, her only true weakness is being melee.

In many cases, snowballing CAN = carrying. Just look at real dota a few patches ago. It was all about the mid player snowballing and carrying the game. Hard carrying? Maybe not. But saying someone like storm spirit couldn't singlehandedly win a game by snowballing is just wrong.

What i am saying is that being able to "carry" through snowballing does not equal to the character in question being a hard carry. QOP can carry a game, but she is definitely not a hard carry.
The word carrying is usually used to refer to a player doing major contributions to the team's victory.
You can also say a support carries when he plays outstandingly and provides his team with consecutive critical disables in late game fights, living through fights, setting up kills early on to acquire an edge and over all providing a good foundation for the team to fight and engage.
I played a game As reimu as few weeks back where we did well early but they had reisen and other carries, i don't remember what other carries, the point is that the game was very close at one point but they simply had more fire power than we did late game and so the game started to edge to their favor, but i managed to lock down reisen at the bening of fights and got her killed almost instantly like three times in a row and we won off of that. You could say in a case like that that i "carried" as support reimu because my contributions were crucial for our victory.

What is bullshit is that marisa gets free objectives. She instantly makes direct contributions towards winning the game very early on and you can't get close to her because those orbs will three shot you as well.
It's not the fact that she is broken in an area, but the nature of the brokenness and how it plays out in the game. None else gets free objectives at 5 minutes.

Just saying, her E knocks people back far enough to activate the instant kill on her ult. If she gets lucky (and if nobody disables her or keeps her away from value targets, which to be fair isn't hard if people aren't stupid), she just deletes you from the game, no matter how much tank you have.
I mean, besides that, she's pretty strong. 40 bonus strength at about 10 minutes in is nothing to sneeze at, and once she gets Peach, she has an insane midgame. I can see where you're coming from, but she's far from the weakest in the game. Even if that is only because she hard counters Koishi.
