No. VN's are mostly targeted at picture fappers who don't care about immersion. There are always button to hide UI entirely and fap to picture. That's it.

Good writing and music/sound creates good immersion.
Having portions of the UI on the screen has to do with immersion breaking.
That has to do with like... self insert / roleplaying / treating fiction as reality breaking.
If you focus more on the text and dont bother looking at the UI, (like everybody else) you won't even notice it.

Learn how to hack the files and find the UI and edit it.
