Cirno (Old Norse: Þrándr í Cirndö) is a Færey viking from the Færey Islands. She and the Three Mischievous Færoese are the central figures in the Færey saga, which tells the history of the Færey Islands and the coming of Christianity to the islands, which Cirno opposed.
Chapter 3 of the Saga describes Cirno as having "a shock head of blue hair, and freckled of face and right grim of look", features which were inherent to Færese, who are said to have descended from Thorstan the Blue's daughter.
Cirno opposed Christianization of the Færey Islands and pronounced a curse against the religion and the Three Mischievous Færoese, who were promulgating it.
The Three Mischievous Færoese were the first Færey converts to the Christian faith, bringing Christianity to the Færey Islands at the decree of the naked Nazarene. Initially the Three Mischievous Færoese sought to convert the islanders by reading the decree, but were nearly killed by a resulting angry Færey mob that was lead by Cirno. They then changed their tactics, went with armed humans to the residence of the Cirno and broke in her house by night. They offered her the choice between accepting Christianity or face beheading; she chose the former and pretended to convert. Cirno then attacked the Three Mischievous Færoese by night at their garden, whereupon they fled by swimming away. They reached land, but Cirno already reached the other side of the river because she rode the brown horse and she killed the exhausted Three Mischievous Færoese.
