Maybe Dovac is actually a clever businessman. He realizes that the idiots on Steam have no way to discern whether or not a translation is good, so it doesn't matter if Sekai Project reuses crappy fan translations in their projects. Just edit them a little to make them sound alright, and then toss them on Steam to collect money from the type of people who bought Sakura Spirit or whatever it's called.

An edit pass won't cut it. The translation wasn't only poorly styled and error-ridden as far as the output language goes, it had a considerable number of guesslated lines and all too often it was a miss rather a hit. To bring the script to a passable level of accuracy it would require—at a bare minimum—a capable person who would revise the entirety of the script paying special attention to maintaining the meaning intact, and only then should it be supplemented with an edit pass.
And all that's going to happen is vanquishing the most glaring mistakes so that the script presents itself.

Technically it is something a campaign could get suspended over though, so it's probably a bad idea to publicize the fact that he broke the rules like that.

Some doujin games don't censor them, but I've only played maybe one or two professional games that didn't. There are some, like Monobeno, where the censorship is so subtle that you don't even notice it unless you're listening for it. Granted, I rarely play nukige, so maybe it's more common to leave them uncensored in those.
Japan is weird about censorship in general. My favorite was in Subahibi where they bleeped out the word ???. The game is filled with graphic rape, drugs, bestiality, and all kinds of other things, but calling someone a lunatic? Now that's just going too far.

I'm just wondering why they're taking on so many projects at once. Wouldn't it be smarter to wait until they've released a few and get some cash coming in before they announce more projects? Especially when they shamelessly admit to turning to Kickstarter yet again for Clannad. I imagine it's the numbers working for him and a pretty strong web of contacts. MG and Jast can only cite relatively low sales when dealing with businesses, but sekai can point to their kickstarter success and steam numbers. Before somehow striking a deal with frontwing and key, his only clients were relatively little known doujin makers.
The word is that Dovac quit a relatively lucrative job to try to work on Sekai. It's a pretty risky move considering they have almost no reliable revenue and a huge amount of liabilities (undelivered kickstarter rewards, unfinished projects, etc). Their existing model of pretty much begging for cash to work on projects is somewhat telling of how little they have to work with. They burn through good will pretty quick using kickstarter though, so it'll be interesting to see where it ends up.
So that guy Kouryuu did a podcast with last year did another with him again. It's filled with two fucking annoying guests aside from kouryuu though. Also mostly not new information. Still, I've wasted an hour of my time for you /jp/
