Speaking of Junko, I'm a bit confused about how Junko's child died (and who the father was) as per Touhou lore.
According to the historical narrative, Houyi (who is the Lunar Empress' husband) killed Junko's husband, took Junko as a concubine, had a child with her and then somehow killed said child?
On the other hand, the mythological narrative states that Junko's husband and son were killed when Houyi shot down the sun resulting in their deaths.
So who was her son's father? Was it her first/real husband or was he keked by Houyi?

This is complicated by the lack of freely-available English sources, but it seems that Junko's son Bofeng was fathered by her dead first husband, apparently the prince Kui, a supporter of the emperor Xia. Houyi took the throne, ejecting the Xia emperor, killed Kui and Bofeng (who was apparently a total dick) and married Junko. As a result, Junko began plotting against her husband with the aid of Han Zhuo, a prime minister, who eventually toppled and killed Houyi. Han Zhuo was himself ultimately displaced by Shao Kang, who restored the rule of the Xia dynasty.
I believe the current theory linking the two accounts is that Houyi went nuclear after the departure of his beloved wife Chang'e, and became the warlord who usurped the Xia dynasty. Junko therefore holds a grudge against Chang'e for indirectly causing her suffering. The story of the ten suns doesn't enter into Junko's background at all.

Houyi shooting down the sun (implied to be Apollo) is Hecatia's reason for hating Houyi/Chang'e and is almost entirely separate from Junko's reason, because Hell needs light or else shadows wouldn't exist.
Houyi shooting down the sun resulting in Junko's husband and son dying was a mistake in translation, in context, or whatever when details first started coming out. This aspect is wrong and no longer applies. If seen elsewhere it should be corrected.
