Kichikuou Rance is sort of what-if scenario, where Alicesoft fit all of their current canon for the series, in case that rest of the games would never be made.
If that feels too old for you, there's also Sengoku Rance, which takes place entirely in the eastern island of the Continent. Lots of things are different from Kichikuou, and gameplay is significantly better.
