I can't make myself play LoL or DotA 2. They are too boring, too tense, with no payoff. I don't feel good when i'm stomping, victory means nothing. Losing is just an exercise in handling obnoxious, toxic teammates, like a fucking baby sitter, and it doesn't change based on elo. It just feels like wasted time. Waiting for the queue, for the picks and bans, and for the game to start. Then waiting at least 20 minutes (in the best case scenario) for it to end. Every minute playing LoL or DotA 2 i feel miserable, mind numbing repetition of a laning phase.
In Hots you're in game and out in 15 minutes usually. It has a variety of maps (but pirate map is shit).
