>Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor, and lex parsimoniae in Latin, which means law of parsimony) is a problem-solving principle attributed to William of Ockham (c. 1287–1347), who was an English Franciscan friar and scholastic philosopher and theologian. The principle can be interpreted as stating "Among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected."
You are not presenting a hypotheses and you are not making any assumptions. You're asserting that one system of measurement is better than another. Occam's Razor doesn't apply here

American Engineer here who can answer your question. There's a few imperial units used in some branches of engineering (particularly mechanical engineering) that engineers in the US have to be aware of even if they're not used so much anymore. Stuff like slugs, rankins, BTUs etc.

Old stuff uses them sometimes, but most students are taught to regard them as domain knowledge that you don't really need to know. There's probably not a 'non-SI' version of the textbook, it's probably just the original textbook without the sections on meme units because Europeans don't need to know them.

You're not answering my question - why does it matter to you? How does some American not using the metric system honestly affect you?
>>
>>59263416

Hey guys. Why are you hate ukranian and call them pigs?
>>
>>59263416
>hurt durr let me tell you about your country
You act as though we don't even know what a metre is. We are taught about the metric system in school. In fact, when I was taught physics we used the metric system exclusively.
>>
>>59263581
We love and support you. We helped apply economic sanctions to Russia so they will collapse economically if they try to take more of your clay.

It's only banter

This makes me feel bad that we don't have a France Appreciation Day for your contribution during our war for independence

FINALLY!!! After what seemed like years of lurking, I found out the secret to triggering the French! Tell them the English helped them with something.
>>
>>59264032
>we don't have a France Appreciation Day
Well, celebrate the 14 july by doing barbecue and fireworks?
>>
>>59264153
Independence day is a masturbatory holiday if I ever saw one. Most Americans think we fought off King George ourselves.
>>
>>59264185
it's a precious secret, don't tell them. By them I mean the English.
>>
>>59264153
>what is july fourth
Are you telling me that you fly France's flag beside America's flag on July 4th? If so, I salute you

>>59264275
Most people just think about the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4th. That may be different in different parts of the US, but I doubt it
>>
>>59264388
i always fly a french flag on independence day
>>
>>59264303
>Most Americans think we fought off King George ourselves
>implying based George Wash didn't personally bitchslap King George after we single handedly fought off the Brits

>Truman's order expressly excluded anyone found "to have been a member of the Nazi Party, and more than a nominal participant in its activities, or an active supporter of Nazi militarism." However, those restrictions would have rendered ineligible most of the leading scientists whom the JIOA had identified for recruitment, among them rocket scientists Wernher von Braun, Kurt H. Debus, and Arthur Rudolph, as well as physician Hubertus Strughold, each earlier classified as a "menace to the security of the Allied Forces."[4]

>(from the Wernher von Braun page)He was one of the leading figures in the development of rocket technology in Nazi Germany, where he was a member of the Nazi Party and the SS

A fair number of them were members of the Nazi party
