So in this case I saw a pseudo-proof of Syria. It was an AMA thread from one guy from Damascus talking about how does the daily life look like, ISIS & other Syria stuff. He was questioned to do a timestamp numerous times, however, he refused because "muh night you wouldn't see shit". I always use metric units for assignments out of personal preference unless otherwise stated. She wanted metric units, so that's my jam.
Funny thing about that, actually. I grew up using metric units. For some reason, my mother taught me how to measure using metric and that's all she uses. I have no idea why she does, but when I entered elementary school, I didn't understand how to do any measurements there. It's been better in high school due to lack of imperial units in classes, but it's still a major source of annoyance when trying to give directions or talk to people since I gauge distance in km rather than miles, liters rather than gallons, etc. I haven't really bothered to learn imperial since it's really confusing.

Admitted newfag here who gets a huge boner from both collecting and geography.
Is it worth collecting the extra flags too? I feel like it'll just clutter up my map.

Yes that is an issue with that map (like I said it's flawed). Alternatively you could use this map with has boxes to put flags in, but it's outdated and you'll have to add in more boxes because there are more flags now, and the countries themselves also aren't divided.

Yeah sure, although I recommend you go ahead and install it now and start collecting them, then you start putting them in later, but you wouldn't want to miss in rare regionals in the meantime.

I like it too but it's a hassle though. Flags are added every so often, and if your OCD dictates you have to place your flags alphabetically it's not going to be easy cleaning up when new flags are added and the template changed.
If you're ordering your flags chronologically or randomly obviously that isn't a problem, but my autism is too strong to allow myself to do that.
