It's interesting in that it's very different to SA, but the city is smelly and the people hound you because they want to sell you their things (white face = lots of money). The markets are really interesting, since you can buy anything you can think of at their markets.

Pretty good actually. Given that the Rand is so weak, tourists can get 5 star treatment for next to nothing compared to most tourist destinations. Most first world countries also have visa free access over here. Cape Town is where all the tourists go. Sure you hear of stories where tourists get robbed etc, but that happens in many tourist countries, plus you also have to take into consideration of how vigilant these tourists actually were of their surroundings (i.e going into a township without knowing the dangers)

It's like any other SA city where you have good parts and bad parts, but it's depreciated far more than any other South African city. I could walk in the city centre of my city without any problems, but I'd never do that in Joburg. The population has grown far too much in too short of a time, plus it's flooded with immigrants
