Would anyone be interested in making a skype group for d/ic/ks?
Been in some before but they're now dissolved. Mainly looking to generate some feedback and learn between each other, perhaps even make some friends.
Skill level doesn't really matter, just a willingness to improve. If interested post your skype in this thread.

tried it once, everyone that joined was a fucking faggot afraid to speak their mind, so we didn't have anything to talk about, also, you either get mildly skilled people who feel too good to mingle with the plebs or complete noobs that have not the slightlest idea on how to improve, so that "improving togheter"is often times out of the way as well.
People here might tell you they want art friends, but it's not true, they want to latch onto someone accomplished and suck whatever they can from the experience, once they're in a group, it's always "oh no I'm shit huurrr i gotta be an hypocritical dick sucking faggot so they teach me" or "oh no they're shit hurrrr i can't learn anything from these retards", it's never "I'm going to help who I can and expect the same from people above me" or at the very least "I will try make friends of these people", they simply don't want to be there.
Anyhow, a multistream of people drawing while talking would be a better idea in my opinion, will keep everyone entertained and on topic.

Yeah I guess this might be an issue but I haven't encountered anything like this so far from my own experience. I guess I can't know for sure who will join but I maintain a positive outlook on the whole thing. Better to hope something good might come out of this, try it out and let the chips fall where they may than not to try at all.
Streaming is a good idea though. Google hangouts is perfect for that kind of thing, at least that's how we used to do it before.

As someone in another online art group sprung from /ic/, I can attest that doing this really helps keep the group together and on-topic, and improves the overall learning atmosphere. In a lot of ways it's more helpful than just posting pics in a skype chat, since you can give and respond to criticism in real time, and see each other's process as they draw. It also encourages everyone to just draw instead of spamming memes into a chat box.
Get everyone together with Sykpe, but then set up a Google Hangouts for multistreams.

lol, no I got kicked as well. I was actually one of the few people posting my work semi-regularly but one of the mods was toxic and spouting bad advice to other people without the work to back it up. I disagreed with him a couple times then found myself kicked from the group. In my opinion I think you're better off either learning by yourself or finding/starting a meetup group in the real world.

Guys OP here. I'm sorry to inform you that our group has reached a cap and we can't take in any more members beyond this point. When we have some spots available I'll be sure to mention it in a post but right now we want a tight–knit group who works and operates cohesively.
