Do you guys have any tips/strategies for painting hair? it seems like a difficult subject a lot of people have trouble with. I have a few images In different styles, but I have no idea how to approach them.

what are you having problems with? the shape, how it fits to the head or details. Do the proko thing anyways, but try and break down your "problems" with drawing hair. why is this so overwhelming? is there a specific part of the hair that has you frazzled?

Look up the ribbon technique on gurney's blog. Basically you treat the hair as ribbon-like chunks, then at the end you can add some strands or whatever method you prefer to add enough texture to sell the material.
