draw a character based on this image with an intense use of colour

Well, nothing wrong with photobashing.
No rules just tools, etc.
I hope this blinds you.

How did you get so good at drawing in MS Paint with a mouse? I love MS Paint art.
>>2570274
Lots of drawing in MSPaint, I guess. Drawing on it using only a mouse really makes you used to the 'flow'.
>>2570126
Nice intense use of color, you fucking turd.
>>2570498
bruh- white is the most intense color there is
Didn't have time for color.
>>2568154

Killer, great shapes anon.
Some feedback , especially on foreshortening ?
A really nice exercise , we should make threads like these more often
>>2575092
This really reminds me of the enemy designs in Wind Waker
>>2575092
Dam son.
>>2575248
Clean up your linework.
Also you need to do more if you're trying to foreshorten, your tail is as wide as the monkey's face and both knives look the same size.
You could probably convey it better if you clean up the linework.
Always enjoy these threads.
>>2575937
No sense of weight on the foot
>>2574492
Glad you were inspired. Your colors are great. Don't let yourself tell you that the forms don't matter. You could make them quality just as easily as you could ruin them. Also, stone very nice, interesting form ideas present, despite the aforementioned notions.
>>2568168
dude this is sweet.
>>2575092
nice shapes!
Oh god here I go:
In the forest of Osaka, a baby monkey lived with his mother. Shunned by the other monkeys for being different, they lived alone. The mother lived longer than the usual monkey, and before her death she told the little one to avoid the other side of the forest. The humans resided there, and they were dangerous. However one day, he went there to find out more about his mother and the mysterious tattoo she had on her arm.
There, he was caught by poachers and they noticed his wide sclera, flatter face, and that he was bipedal.
The baby monkey was sold to the blood circus. His trainer just called him Sarubobo. A freak of nature. He was trained to fight other animals for the entertainment of humans. Due to his high intelligence and opposable thumbs, he was able to use weapons.
He killed and killed, to preserve his own life even though he hated it. Before he killed his opponent in battle, he would see the fear in their eyes. It haunted him for the rest of his life. As he grew up, he dreamed of his childhood and his furusato, the forest of Osaka. One day using his strength and willpower, he outsmarted his own masters and escaped.
Now he lurks around the outskirt of the city, painted as a dangerous monster and hunted down. He searches for the lab where his mother got her number tattoo. Maybe there he will find answers for the questions he always asked, and discover who and what he truly is.
Along his journey, he fights for the weak who cannot fight for themselves, whether they are animal or human. His collar with the broken chain will always remind him of his own oppression, and he vows to protect the vulnerable now that he is strong and free. The youthful Sarubobo realizes that he cannot go back to the past for it will not be the same. He can now only dream of a better world and be the catalyst for it. This is the destiny of Sarubobo.
So yep. I hope the story makes up for some drawing mistakes lol
>>2575937
oh you are that guy who draws mech stuff! love your work. can you please tell how you make these lines? is it some specific brush from photoshop or some sai options?

Wanna know how I know you're a millenial-aged feminist?
>>2576066
white is the absence of all color, black is the presence of all colors.
>>2576076
That's only when you use subtractive colour mixing :^)
>>2576079
...aaand scene
>>2576076
>all color
Subtractive or additive, it's all fucking light. "Presence of all colors" means literally nothing at all.
I guess only the orange is really intense. Maybe I'll try again later.
>>2576197
>doesn't know ''presence of all colors'' in additive mixing is white
>doesn't know ''presence of all colors'' in subtractive color mixing is black
not gonna make it
too lazy to color
>>2576066

can you describe your creative process? how did you go from that picture to your product?
i can copy things pretty well, but i am not creative in turning something into something better (or merely different). i feel like i am not very creative.
can you walk me through what you goes on in your brains when youre making that?
>>2582875
Go outside, watch a range of movies. Read books. Gain a visual library of ideas and themes. Put them all at the back of your brain.
That's the best I can say, being creative can't really be taught.
>>2582900
But it can be learned.
>>2582921
can you expand on that?
>>2582921

>>2575944
Now if you could just put that story in your drawing that would be fantastic. All I see now is a mediocre story and a drawing of an angry monkey. I don't see dreams of a better future in his eyes, nor does he seem haunted by the lives he took. He's not even lurking or searching for anything, he's just sitting there looking pouty and stiff.
This was fun
>>2575937
blog pls :(
