so i had a question, i am making a comic, but i decided the art isnt looking very good, should i try hard to meet my self imposed deadline or should i take a break and learn a bit more (its mainly anatomy not looking the way i want it to and other things.) in either case im still drawing with all of my free time regardless . but which path should i do?
Post an example
If this is your first comic, finish it under the deadline. Learning to keep deadlines and timing your workload are far more important skills for you at this stage. Think of it as a learning experience or a stepping stone for future projects, and no doubt your skill will improve over time as well so don't worry if the anatomy is off right now.

Get the comic done. Your first comic will be shit anyways, but going through the motions is important. You can always go back and fix things or redo them if they are bad, but at least this way you will have a finished product. Delaying making it until you are better will just put things on indefinite hold.

this is the main character
keep in mind i havnt shaded it or anything yet but it still looks bad to me. this is a rough page, i also think i could do a better job if i drew the paper version in pencil and then inked digitally. this is inked manually irl. but i wanted to ink it in real life so i dunno.
its mango so try not to be too harsh on me lol i know how some of ic hates it .
i always draw more realistic stuff in my studies and stuff.

Since it's an erotic comic just go ahead and finish it. I made some of my best strides by drawing porn comics. If it were a comic you were trying to send to an indie publisher and have put on shelves or anything I might have suggested something else but this you may as well finish. Rather than doing separate anatomy studies to go back and improve this one, treat this one as an opportunity to do a ton of studying for different angles and poses of the body and to practice completing a project.
thanks i felt like i should maybe just try and finish it and worry about that stuff later and just look at it as practice and learning while doing it. but i also fetl like rushing it is bad as well. but most of you have said just finish it. so im gonna go with that

good advices
Maybe try improving one piece of anatomy per couple of pages/ chapter: it will slow your work rate down a bit, but you won't be stopping completely, and by the end, you'll probably have improved at least a little.
Honestly op it's a tight rope your walking
If you do nothing but big finished pieces your going to take way longer to get that mileage
However not doing the opposite as well defeats the purpose of getting better
How long have you worked on this and what is your personal opinion of it ?
Best to just draw and finish it. You will get better as you keep finishing new comics.

how many days were you planning to get 60 pages done. realistically 60 pages of good quality comic can take 4 months if you're on your own
