To celebrate the approach of the new Pokemon game, I thought it'd be fun to make a Pokemon themed draw thread. This thread is somewhat similar to the Tower Girls concept, however instead of creating fan art of a specific character you're creating an original concept to be added to a new generation of Pokemon designed by /ic/. To make things easier for those interested you can choose a Pokemon type using pic related, or go rouge and do whatever you feel like.
If enough people participate legendaries/starters can be chosen from the collection of entries made. I'll store all entries and make a graphic of them as we go along, so that there's something to reference in the polling stage. You can make as many Pokemon as you wish, and there's no set theme for this generation; you can make literally any kind of Pokemon you want.
If you have any issues with my info graphic or have suggestions for how I should handle things feel free to say so. As a note if this concept picks up steam I'll probably change pic related, make it a bit less shitty.

Just popping in to say I didn't forget about this thread. I'm saving all of the images so far on my hard drive, and will likely put them into a pastebin of sorts. When this thread dies I'll make a new one and put in the OP everything submitted so far, as well as a poll for choosing some starters/legendaries. Gonna put everything into a single image as well, might tweak some of the photographed submissions to up the contrast and make them more readable among all the other designs (not actually changing the drawings though).
A lot of really awesome stuff in this thread btw; the cool thing about having all these Pokemon designed by different people is that you have a really nice variation between designs, something that is sometimes lacking in the actual canon versions (IMO).

To really make a Kangaroo Pokemon "Pop," what I would have done is instead of making it a typical kangaroo with boxing gloves, make it stand on it's tail.
It's tail is essentially its legs and it will constantly hop on it.
That way, it's feet and hands are free to do any and everything.
A kangaroos main features are its tail, pouch, and ability to fight.
You got the fighting down, don't really see a pouch, but the tail is lacking.
