If you're using a mouse, stop. Just use a fucking pencil and save up for a tablet. The luxury of ctrl z / software doesn't make up for the lack of any pressure variation / line control.
Learn to draw. Doesn't matter what your medium is, shit like what you posted looks like shit because it lacks any fundamental knowledge. Don't try and be stylized and quirky, it'll look stupid until you know what you're doing.
