Are these useful? For weird poses primarily, like strange angles.

do it

Lighting reference. I preordered all four with the intention of cancelling whichever colour I decided would be less useful, but given how cheap they are compared to other Japanese figures I'm just keeping all of them. I'm sure they'll each be useful for different things.

Also definitely prefer the look of these to the SH Figuarts Body-Kun and Body-Chan, those came out really disappointing compared to their regular figures.

not having to explain why you have a naked figure on your desk
>>
>>2523206
you just have to surround it with art supplies

for a seamless that one doesn't look that great.

i remember seeing some pics of some people using those Phicen 1/6 super flexible seamless figures before and they looked pretty nice.

- Slightly more expensive

why am I not getting it? If I don't I'll get it in 2 months I'll get a refund assap, and that would be weird due to the excelent rating from the seller

btw, next gens are gonna be cheap 2, gud
>>
>>2523360
If you receive anything at all, it'll be a cheap bootleg made of ground-up spiders and orphan's tears that crumbles to dust in your hands.

Never, ever buy figures from AliExpress.

Bought both and they're pretty good quality as far as I can tell.
They don't seem especially sturdy, though, so I'm worried that I'll eventually break them.
Thinking about buying the next gen ones for back up and to help choreograph larger scenes.

what's the point of buying this? muscles flexed a certain way work in only a handful of poses
>>
>>2524967

Yeah, the hardest part of drawing figures from imagination in my opinion is to get the deformation of muscle and foreshortening right. I guess it could help beginners visualize poses though. Seems like you'd need a pretty solid grasp of anatomy to be able to "translate" those poses into something believable anyway.
>>
>>2524251
looks bad just from that image
>>
How is the SH figuarts archetype or the Stickybones figure compared to these upcoming figmas, for posing?
>>
whats with all these blatant shilling threads lately
>>
>>2524967
Just for getting an idea of a pose for reference sake. This isn't going to substitute for a real model
>>
Why not get an actual manikin? These models look too anime.
>>
>>2526107
The SHF blanks were pretty disappointing by all accounts. The male body is the best of the two. They have some really weird limitations compared to a standard SHF figure and are very 'anime', especially the female figure.

I was honestly expecting they'd be the ones to get, but then Figma went and outdid themselves on their new blank bodies.
>>
>>2527593
How limited in articulation are the SHF blanks?
>>
>>2522867

They're a bit finnicky and take some getting used to, but yeah they function just fine. DesignDoll is free (some features are only in a paid version, like saving poses, but eh) and pretty decent.
>>
>>2528098
I hope it runs more smoothly than manipulating the 3d figures in Clip Studio. Everytime I move a limb there, my system chugs.
>>
>>2522788
Just load a mannequin into any 3d package prorgamm and get it into position.

Way cheaper, way more efficient and gets the job done quicker.
>>
>>2524967
>>2524934
I think it's better for gesture than muscle anatomy on itself
>>
>>2530362
this

it's all about gesture, so it's mobility is important. The way it looks... is just a matter of taste. If you like cute anime looking ones, buy them, if you like heroic proportions one buy them, if you don't have the money, don't

easy peasy, end of argument
