Just found out about a program that seems a but over powered for basic shapes and perspective.
would it be bad if i relied on this program to finish art or anything? i have nothing to show though. seems to really help with photoshop. what does /ic/ think of this?

forgot to add the program name in main tittle......(Lazy Nezumi pro)

depends what you wanna do with your art. If you want to draw super tight and clean lineart that requires perfect accuracy, then go for it. However If you want to develop more natural looking and appealing line quality, you won't achieve that by relying on stabilizer / lazy nezumi too much.

Also that gif you posted doesn't seem to have too many practical applications for artists.

You still have to understand perspective.
It seems to just be a tool to make the process a lot quicker to do.
Go ahead and use it if you find it useful.
Though maybe make sure that you are actually understand what your doing before using this "crutch".
This program actually looks really useful. Thanks for letting me know about it.
Forgot about that.
How embarassing.

Protip: Don't
I tested it out and decided to ditch it.
Only one mode out of all of them was decent for me. Ain't worth it for a crutch as big as lazy nezumi

If you can't think of the possible applications then you are not much of a creative person for an artist :^)

This functionality is native to Krita, it's called a painting assistant.

Seems like a decent tool for logo design and related designs

I didn't say I can't think of any possible applications, I said there aren't too many and the few that there are, like extremely accurate industrial design is nowadays done with 3D programs anyway.
