I'd like to know painters that made old cozy city paintings a la Grimshaw. I don't know anything about art, that's why the description I'm giving is so poor, but oh well.

God I love Grimshaw! There are about 5 of his pieces in this upscale antique shop in New Orleans. You really need to see his pieces in person if you have not before.
