those are horrible anon, I've seen better hands from even ic man, set your goals higher and don't take the first good looking thing you see as your goal, it'll hold you back.
>>2449782
someone is a bit sour that no one liike all those shit grotesque hand he's been posting in the draw thread.
These hands are considerably better than yours.
>>2449789
wtf, do you maybe think i'm that dumbass brian ? I'm just telling an anon that there are a lot of fucking better hand illustrations out there and that he shouldn't hold a shitty deviant art example as an inspiration.
>>2449580
Well memed my friend
Too many to name holy shit.
I'll just say, good artists that draw and render really well with pencils inspire me. The one of the gold standards for me is Wesley Burt. But I like 99% of the pencilers you guys do as well. Anybody who can draw pen or pencil on a sketchbook wins my heart. And that's hundreds of artists.
I have really gotten into what makes a good simple cartooning stylizing, basically any good cartoonist. Whether it be "western" or "manga". Seriously even Toriyama, who at one time I thought, "this is really hacky..." But, now I'm in love with his old and new work. I recently read Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, and enjoyed him or (his team's) style in the latest Dragon Quest games, I seriously want to buy some of them just because how much I love the art.
Murata of course, I am newer to his art, but I love what I see. There is also a channel where he is working on his comics. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC806TrlUeGtQoJNHafHn5sQ
But for me I want to be like Jake Wyatt.
Wondering if you guys could help me out
What are some good artists to look at that do stuff for Games Workshop or Wizards of the Coast (DnD not Magic)
In return, I got some of my CREAM OF THE CROP inspirational artists. These are in no particular order and entirely my own opinion. Although, if I had to choose one to be the most influential, it would be Karl Kopinski hands down.
Karl Kopinski, Iain McCaig, Jaime Jones, James Gurney, Steve Huston, Craig Mullins, Glenn Vilppu, Scott Robertson, Wesley Burt, Nathan Fowkes, Mead Schaeffer, Saul Tepper, John Berkey, Dean Cornwell, Jeremy Mann, George Bridgman, Jake Parker, John Sargent, Anders Zorn, Alex Ross, Moebius, Frank Frazetta, Allen Williams.
Oh yeah, and these pictures aren't some of the greatest works of each artist, I just picked some off of google to show what kind of art they do.
>>2450101

this one old british metal looking guy. what's his name... fuck i forgot but he gave a speech at THU

>Seriously even Toriyama, who at one time I thought, "this is really hacky..."
Yeah, I thought like that too. It's really easy to look at manga and comics and think "well, those humans look kinda wonky and those are really silly eyes." and then some years later, after actually studying art and design, you realize a lot of other stuff you never really noticed in those comics and manga is damn near excellent.
Like with Toriyama, he is so fucking good at drawing all sorts of vehicles, from regular cars to sci-fi spaceships, to WW2 inspired fantasy planes, character and creature designs, cloth and costume designs etc.
>>2450101
Tony DiTerlizzi is hands down one of the absolute best.

To answer your question, it's a painting of a girl.
Keep posting
>>2452542
>Berkey
My n-word
Don't really know why, but every Niizuma Eiji scene in BAKUMAN got me really pumped up to draw
Probably because he's an autist who does nothing but draw
>>2452548
Forgot pic
>>2452549
Same
>>2452548
I really liked All you need is kill though I found a lot of the designs really unmemorable
90 percent of all the art in this thread is shit.
>>2452736
That's just like your opinion, man
>>2452740
It sure is, but hey atleast its a good one pal :-)
>>2452752
How can someone even say that their own opinion is good, it's possibly the most biased statement possible
>>2452765
Its not biased if its ironic senpai :D
>>2452789
>>2452752
>>2452736
too many unnecessary lines make the drawing really hard to read in a single look. it doesn't works well with action/character scenes such as these, i prefer to see this kind of stuff applied to architecture only. you don't see all the screws from under a car when it is flying from an explosion IRL.
i like when there's a contrast in rendering as well. pic related.
>>2452817
I will admit thats a legitimate crtiticism of geof darrows older work. Alot of his images were (and some still are) way to busy to understand at first glance, and thats a compositional flaw. On the contrary however, alot of the entertainment value of those scenes are about going on a wheres waldo hunt with the absurd amount of detail, and that in my opinion compensates for compositional flaws. Its still better than 90 percent of the images in this thread tho fampai.
>>2452841
why the need to be confrontational?
>>2452852
i actually tend to draw like this myself, i had an epiphany one day when one of my friends told me "oh i thought it was just a grey block from a distance" when looking at my huge, overly detailed drawing
since then i picked drawing for dummies (pic related) and got gud.
>>2452852
Ive been seeing so much shitposting and baiting on /ic/ I gave up on the chance of having a decent discussion about art.
