Thanks for this. I literally just discovered I've developed carpal tunnel three days ago. I've been working for over a decade and never imagined it would happen to me. So I knew nothing about it really, including the most ideal hand stretches. I will try to do these often. Thanks again.
Everyone should get themselves a wrist brace to wear while you're asleep, so you could recover better. This shit helps greatly, as well as taking frequent breaks and doing stretches.
>tfw have both carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome on my drawing hand
>can't sleep with the splint they gave me for the elbow
I stretch but my wrist still often hurts when I spend too much time drawing. I hate taking breaks, but I should probably rest my hand for at least a few minutes every hour.
If you feel any tingling in your hand or wrist, ABSOLUTELY STOP until it feels normal again. This is the farthest my symptoms have ever progressed and I'm pretty sure if I kept using my hand I would have ended up in a brace. Even if you need to make your hand limp and useless until the next morning, rest it well if it gets that bad.
