When doing color studies, do you pick the colors with the waterdrop(?) tool or do you paint without using that (so without colour picking).
Also what is the best way to do color and value studies, i just use random internet pictures. Should I always do studies from real life situations or also other fanart or paintings?
If you pick colors from the photo reference, then you learn nothing. Normally you pick from color wheel. Jard mode is mixing digitally from basic colors.
Lately, I've been using Adobe Capture. Shit's great for getting a color palette, as long as your picture is good.
Unfortunately, it requires a smartphone.

But you can't mix the same way digitally, at least not in PS. What are you even talking about?

I would first do without and then maybe do one with... That way you can compare.
