why tho
trying to get into SAIC, did a review with their rep a few months ago and heard good things
why didn't u use a more transparent suspension wire
I wasn't after suspension, as much as i was pursuing the connection between each form. If nothing else, i though the twine was more resonant with the cardboard than the fishing line

>costs "per credit hour"
>$1438
The fuck is that shit?
>What are credit hours?
http://redbus2us.com/what-are-credit-hours-courses-in-us-universities-full-time-vs-part-time/
>In simplistic terms, credit hour is the basic unit of measurement that count towards award of degree either bachelors or Masters. Every degree would have its own set of requirements for credit hours…i.e. for instance, to obtain a bachelors degree usually schools may require anywhere from 110 to 140 credits depending on school…similarly for Masters, it may be anywhere from 30 to 39 or more depending on program.
>$1438 x 30 || 140 credits
That can't be right. Right?
>Health Insurance Requirement
>$1,050 per semester
>Technology Fee
> $275 per semester
>Housing
>$15,000/yr(?)
Yeah, you should really go there. Go and ruin your fucking life you retard

looks like that $1500/hr really pays off
This piece is a bit ostentatious and I don't agree with all of the color or compositional choices but it's "alright" as in "not insanely retarded" (http://portfolios.saic.edu/gallery/28904051/Irony). I'm not vehemently opposed to non-representational art, but you don't need a school to teach you how to make something like this - in fact a school basically can't. You can tell that there are a handful of artists in this school that are completely out of their element (like this guy http://portfolios.saic.edu/gallery/601841/Hide-Go-Seek). Non-representational art is almost purely intuitive. If you go to this school or any school like it you are not only throwing your money away but are basically helping defraud thousands of others.
This table is pretty bitchin' though, lol

I'm so terrified of this I'll dismiss any kind of praise off the bat, so I'm always depressed about my skill level and I always feel like shit. And no it's not a good thing.
I wish I could have any kind of contact with working professionals to get a fair judgement but I don't want to bug them and those very few I felt I could ask to replied with a template e-mail or really generic advice, probably for good PR's sake.

I'm pretty much the same way. Whenever I post something on facebook I get dozens of compliments and I end up feeling patronized a lot of the time because I know better - or rather I can 'see' better. It's kind of neurotic though, at some point you have to just like yourself enough to accept praise once in a while, just don't become comfortable with it and stagnate as a result.

If you take classes at Schoolism you can get personalized critiques and stuff for a variety of artists but it's like $1,000. Stephen Silver will critique your shit for about a dollar a minute. Pretty expensive but if you're self taught anyway I'd probably rather pay $30 or $60 for a one-off critique of a handful of drawings than pay for an entire course. I don't know why more good artist's don't do that by the way, seems like a really easy racket. I suppose Silver's one of the few that can get away with it because of his "celebrity" or whatever, though.

Instead of hanging this maybe you should hang yourself.

Who cares?
That begs the question of 'what's the least you can expect to pay' and 'would it be worth it even at that point'. Even at $500 per credit hour which is a third of the proposed cost it appears to be an insane rip off considering what you can get elsewhere (you'd still have to pay the $15,000 room and board, health insurance and other fees I imagine, too).
Consider that you can use skills from a representational art education to create non-representational art, but you cannot do the reverse, and the choice to avoid those kinds of schools like the antiquated plague they are becomes obvious.

DESU knew a black guy who got 30k scholarship there and he drew like that. So if minority, they'll definitely give you a hand(ie)
PLEASE
can we get some more contemporary pretentious bullshit examples?

Thanks for the reply man! That Stephen Silver programme is exactly what I was looking for, I'm too broke for a course so it's the only option I have.
Sell it to some faggot that runs a gastro pub so you'll have a little money to buy more meth.
