I've got a knife ready to start cutting the pages out the binding but I still don't have a scanner. I asked you guys what scanner to get but you told me I was a liar, I forgive you.

You don't want to be scanning them one page at a time OP, that shit would take forever. Get one like that Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 someone linked earlier, one that you can load all the pages and scan them all in a batch process.
Quick note; make sure after you finish batch scanning you compare original page numbers with scans to make sure the scanner didn't feed two pages at once through the scanner a couple times, used to happen a lot back in the day, dunno if it happens as much anymore. You can scan any missed pages and rearrange in post editing, I just know that's happened to me in the past using one of those combo printer/scanner/copier/fax machines in the past that can batch scan when I was scanning all my POs. Always had to go back through and scan one or two that were missed because it fed two through at once.
