I take you're being ironic, but I don't think that drawing anime well is that easy, not to mention anime art can be both Katsyua Terada or Pokémon tier.
What I don't get, though, is why all this hate doesn't go to cartoon art as well, most of the time it's even more stylized, some cartoon styles rely a lot in simplistic and flat forms to create a very graphic and iconic image, so if your problem with anime is breaking the academic rules, then cartoon breaks them even further.

To actually answer the question, I prefer thin lines. Thick lines can work well in very dynamic or heavy areas, but generally I prefer delicacy.
