Any of you guys use one of these glove things to stop smudges?
Not really, I think it's better to put a paper over a paper
what is this anime dress bullshit?
I use one of those. It makes a world of a difference with a cintiq. Back when I was using an intuos I didn't really need it because the surface didn't really get sticky.
I could work without it if I really had to but it would be a pain in the ass.
>>2325894
I think you're thinking of these
>>2325879
this shit is fucking terrible, get a doki wear.
>>2325879
LOL cintiq cuck, enjoy stiff shoulder and sweaty hand.
>>2325879
When I was drawing on screen, yes.
First I bought these, they are dirt cheap, cut two fingers off. You can also flip one inside out so you get 2. So it was pretty much like this >>2325947.
Then I bought one like in op image and it was shit, it was flopping around and didn't sit well.
So basically get those moisturising gloves, cut it open as much as possible so your hand gets some air and doesn't sweat. There is literally no reason to get those fancy ones.
>>2325922
now i need to search porn for gloved hands.
>>2325922
>>2325971
Huh, apparently they call these things "bridal gauntlets"
https://danbooru.donmai.us/posts?utf8=%E2%9C%93&tags=bridal_gauntlets
>>2325879
I know a guy who does but he's into scratchboard. Most of the graphite artists I know just use toilet paper or a scrap piece of paper but I have seen someone use a soft dish cloth once.
>muh extreme tacticool drawing gloves
Fuck off.
I use it for the cintiq. It's pretty much a necessity. I've never used it for drawing on paper.
>>2325879
I used to use it with my Cintiq, switched to a 2$ fingerless gardening glove recently. I dont like that silky material the black glove is made of, it feels way too smooth.
>>2325970
done the glove myself too, it was an underglove for biking though. mot exactly pretty, but now my hand runs better on the tablet and it doesn't dirty much anymore. i have seen on amazon a pretty cheap "smudgeguard" glove from huion too
>>2325947
>sweaty hands
u recommend?
>>2325879
I saw people making it from a sock
>wearing tactical gloves
>>2326068
i bet you my hands sweat more than you ad they work fine for me.
>>2325879
What kindof material is it? I'm just gonna DIY it
>>2326242
Lycra? http://www.amazon.com/Huion-Artist-Glove-Graphics-Drawing/dp/B00VTHAS00
>>2326251
not same glove, but they're similar
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iulPGQUvk4g
Murata DIY'd his drawing hand glove, webm related
imo, I'll just DIY a cheap cotton glove for a fraction of the price
>>2326019
This glove is made specifically for drawing on a screen, you idiots, to protect it from sweat from your hand. It even says in Cintiq manual that the screen can get damaged over time if you dont use a glove.
Its not for regular drawing or Intuos, kek.
But it will still smudge my oils, fucking towel bar mahlstick niggas.
Merry fucking christmas.
>>2325879
when i draw on my tablet, yeah
but it covers both my pinkie & my ring finger
>>2326314
no shit, my hand sweat when its hot or not. If the material is good enough it won't sweat right through it and fuck my paper up.
>>2325947
Can vouch for dokiwear.
Been using a smudgeguard for two weeks after I got my cintiq 24hd. It was horrible and the sizes were off on the chart.
Ordered a dokiwear glove when I found out about it on the kickstarter. It doesn't make your hand sweat, it keeps the screen clean and makes your hand glide just right across the screen. Get that shit.
>>2325884
My teacher recommends this method
>>2326280
>tiny WHITE eraser
>tacticool gloves
>leadholder
>animu drawing
I removed the plastic screen from my cintiq 13 hd because it was getting a little scratched. It was a good descision because the screen protector refracted the light into this barely detectable rainbow pattern, like if you get water on your monitor but the droplets millions in number and nearly microscopic. Also I find the pen just feels better on glass. there's no sound when using it. HOWEVER, that screen protector helped keep the oils from your hand from detracting from the feel of the pen. Without it, in no time the pen gets a sort of sticky feeling as it moves along the glass. So yes I use a shitty glove that I cut the fingers off of, works great and makes it easier to do long smooth lines.
Tldr if you have a cintiq rip off the screen protector and get a glove it's way better.
>>2328663
>tfw too poorfag for cintiq
>>2328646
>trying this hard to shit on Murata
>>2325879
Neat idea, hadn't heard of it.
>>2325879
Not only i can´t stop smudges, i get it over the table, the cloths, MY clothes and stain my own skin for days. If it´s oil canvas, it´s even messier.

Works as good as 20$ gloves.

>>2329021
Unless he is not right handed?
>>2329074
Seriously man?
>>2329074
It doesn't matter which hand is his primary hand, genius. Not unless his thumbs are on the bottom of his hands.
>>2329117
Can't remember who it was atn, but I saw some reasonably well-known drawing instructor mention just resting his palm on a terrycloth.
I'm using one of these ridiculous pinkie gloves 'cause it came with my tablet. The real use case is reducing friction / gaining some fluidity for larger motions, IMO, not to keep the surface clean. I say that as a very smudgy lefty.
>>2329074
>>2329021
>>2329105
I keked while i was reading this. This glove fits your hand whatever the hell you want.
>>2330032
will it fit your dick?
>>2330199
No but it will fit yer mom lel
>>2326280
>get glove
>cut it and use while pencil drawing for a few hours
>little finger of glove is now gray with lead
Hmm, how often he has to wash those
>>2325879
This. These are really good for gliding on the tablet if you're a wrist drawer, it also good for keeping your hands from sweating and greasing up your workspace.
for pencil and paper, the only problem i get is from my other hand fingers using it to turn the papr to i can get them correct lines, and ill end up with them smudges
>glove
>on a non-screen tablet
>>2325879
I love my little glove.
