Post stuff with a sad tone to it

This isn't sad at all. Justice needs to be served for the atrocities of the disgusting jav plague.
>serious topic
>autismo face loli is centerpiece
Absolutely disgusting.
>>2312253
Saw this being posted the other day, I simply fell in love with it.
>>2312269
I hate how the concept is really good but it's ruined with the anime. I'm saying that as a person that likes anime too to be honest family.
>>2312265
get out of here with your anime garbage
>>2312262
What is this? I need to know
>>2312313
How is this sad? Do you just love this painting and post it in any thread? I swear I've seen it a half dozen times posted here over the course of the year, and it's a rather obscure painting to post so I know it's just you.
>>2312738
>How is this sad
Can't tell if bait or autistic.
What am I saying, chances are it's both.

Kek the filename

The artist's level of skill is pretty sad tbqh
>>2312738
I've posted it here maybe 3 times. That poster is not me. More than one person can like a single painting.
As for how is it sad, are you serious? it's a painting of a bunch of sullen girls beside starving dogs and the rubble of their village.
>>2313717
lol. ok kid.

>it's a painting of a bunch of sullen girls beside starving dogs and the rubble of their village.
Just because they are poor doesn't mean they are sad. They look like they are just sitting and posing for an artist. They're not gonna smile forever for the artist to paint it, and it doesn't look like it's done from a photo at any point.
Also at first I thought the buildings were skewed as an artistic choice, not because they were rubble. It's more clear in the photo (which also shows the scale of the painting, wow!):

It isn't, Liu Xiodong only works directly from life.
>Just because they are poor doesn't mean they are sad.
if they aren't sad (and I believe they probably are), then the scene itself should inspire sadness in the viewer. "Out of Beichuan" depicts the aftermath of an earthquake that killed tens of thousands of people in 2008.

Xiaodong*

Well the context changes the painting I suppose and I would agree the intention then does likely have sadness as one of the emotions or goals. Without context though I didn't find it to be sad at all really.
Why this mural is still up in our airport continues to baffle me.
>>2313797
Illuminati secret base under the Denver airport, duh.
>>2313766
lol thanks I needed that
>>2313812
literally nothing wrong with that face. just because you don't like the expressionist mode of painting doesn't mean its bad.

>landwhale triggered
>>2313845
not that anon, but what do landwhales have to do with anything?
post more dead Christs and sad Marys. Feel like this is where every artist eventually goes to try his hand at epitomizing human sadness. Can anyone think of another iconic image that symbolizes sad better?

maybe this one

wew cringe lad

you could probably pay them $1 / day each to pose for you and theyd be making more money than they would otherwise
win / win scenario if you ask me!
>>2314816
You mean Mary?
>>2314819
this one looks different, i mean the woman with the yellow circle behind head in the two pictures
>>2314821
It's the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus. The yellow (gold) circle is a halo or nimbus.
Are you from an area where Christianity is practiced?
>>2314834
He's probably just some neckbeard "militant atheist" having a laugh by pretending religions don't exist.
>>2314834
Yer a virgin, Marry.

That's because the fluoride in the water we dink has calcified your pineal gland and you are blind to the transdimensional reptilians that have enslaved us on the earth (which is flat and under a giant LCD screen)

That thing is adorably down syndrome-esque

jesus was the epitome of humility edgelord. there are plenty of criticisms you could've made against christianity that are actually accurate.
>>2314997
holy shit dat jewnose!
>>2314997
>epitome of humility
Not a bit. The New Testament is just Jesus going around telling people what to do, acting like a know it all, showing off his powers, etc. If he appeared as a character in modern literature or film, he'd be completely hateable.
>>2315077
The entire idea of almighty God taking the form of a dirty ape to die for humanity is the epitome of humility. Satan offers him the world on a platter when he's fasting in the desert, but he turns it down so he can be nailed to a tree by ungrateful centurions.
The "showing off of powers" are tales his followers made up to illustrate his mercy and divinity.
His ministry was all about humility though. He instructs his followers not to make a scene of their fasting, or to pray loudly in public. At the last supper, he dresses down and washes his disciples' feet like a servant, and the bible says that he came "not to be served, but to serve." He instructs his followers to adopt this same humble attitude.
The only time he's really condemning anyone is when he preaches against the Sadducees or Pharisees, exactly because they went around acting like know it alls and drawing attention to their piety.
