I hope you weren't near the end of a year. At the very least then you could have said you studied at an art college for a year, better than nothing and at least then you haven't completely wasted your money.

This is by no means terrible, but to be quite frank you probably want to be a bit more advanced before you go to art college. I feel like you can get many times more out of it when you have a solid handle on things before you go in as opposed to just diving in as a begginer/ near beginner. This way you can get much more meaningful critique from your tutors as opposed to "work on the fundamentals" said in many different ways.

OP pick up Scott Robertson How to draw book or just download it from the book thread in this forum.
Art school is a con anyway, you can practice fundamentals and get good without it.
