What do we draw?
>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.
What's a low effort warning?
>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.
>This rule has been the cause of a lot of concern amongst newer artists so let me reiterate: this system is to police low effort content and has nothing to do with the quality of the work. New artists are more than welcome.
What happens if I'm eliminated?
>A new Last Artist Standing challenge starts every week. If you get eliminated then get it together and rejoin next week.
How can there be a new Last Artist Standing challenge every week?
>This is a way to let new artists join in and to allow re-entry for the eliminated. Every week a new challenge is started. If you joined on week 1 and make it to week 2 then your daily submission counts for both the first and second Last Artist Standing. If you get eliminated then you're eliminated from both challenges and you'll be able to rejoin next week.
Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?
>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.

That looks pretty shallow and weird bondagefairy, I reccomendhotkinkyjo, there's some videos where they have the butt held open by a clamp and you can see all the way down, as well as the normal gaping and fisting ones.
Nice figures susi but they're pretty chunky, and something about the proportions makes it hard to tell if they're midgets or chunky adults or weirdly proportioned kids. If they're girls around puberty age like the sterotypical ballerina then they should be quite elongated. When girls hit puberty they go like legs first and become gangly, and then fill out later.
Sasori the owl head looks too far back to be connected to the neck and torso at all. Shoulders should be either side of the head, and try think about placement of a human chin, how there's that kind of overhang and it juts out ahead of the neck, not directly above it.
Jeremias the shaded in heads feel even flatter, try think about how hair is layered. So there'd be a darker tone in patches at the bottom layer closest to the skull, then mostly mid tones over this, and then a few lighter tones on the crest/edges of the form, and then a few highlights to look good. Pic kind of related but with hair oiled up like this it becomes more like modelling out clay; planes towards the light being lit, planes away being dark, then smoother and sharper transitions, etc.

I kind of like the idea of keeping the challenges commitment-free. It seems like the majority of people are still following the rules of the challenge. They're not part of the main LAS challenge so I like considering them as just bonuses, with no tangible punishment if you don't complete it. I guess we can see if it becomes a problem, though. Switch the word ballerina for gymnast then. I like them, just feel like they're a bit chunky/oddly proportioned sometimes. Depends on what apparatus they perform but gymnasts don't tend to be THIC, unless it's the male guys on the rings, and even then they're just insanely cut rather than swole. More weight = less control. The female ones on mats or double bar tend to be tiny, but powerful, nothing on them but muscle.

I think you should be able to join or leave (if you didn't submit) a challenge at any time. Or maybe allow the creator to decide if it stays open after it starts, since for the ones that are supposed to be daily it doesn't make sense to, say, join on the last day, but for ones that just give you a period of time to complete something, I don't see why not.

I don't think the challenge creator will ever be able to close an ongoing challenge just because of you know ragequits and trolling. Day 29 of the draw 1000 dicks challenge and the challenge disappears. what will you do with all those dicks?
Joining ongoing challenges could be an option after the overhaul but right now some challenges require you to do X every day and there's currently no way to differentiate those challenges from the other ones.
This was brought up a thread or two ago and I think the compromise was to be able to join on the first day too instead of closing it when it starts. I'll add that in with the uhh delete your challenge submission and being able to flag your submission as incomplete option

Only advice I can give is try to get stuff like your LAS submission out of the way at the very start so you can relax and leisurely draw personal stuff for the rest of the day. If you leave it until the end you'll procrastinate and end up not drawing at all. At least that's what I found.

I realised why you made it so that people can't join ongoing challenges when you shared your new system with us, it's because you want people to sign up at the start so they can be punished or ridiculed if they don't complete it and have their leaderboard stat thing ruined.
I'm not sure if that's worth locking people out weeks before it's due and sacrificing quality of life/accessibility just so you can give them a red mark on their profile if they don't follow through. The original comic challenge was perfect, anyone could submit at any point, 20 days ahead or the night before the deadline if they wanted without committing to anything in advance. It's not like any of the challenges actually require you to say you're joining, even if it's a daily one people were still mass posting the whole thing on the final day. What do you think about it?

Once the new submission system is implemented and there are challenges that require daily check-ins like the LAS I can see if people want to change the challenges in the way you're suggesting.
I also believe in the power of the badge of shame on your profile. You have days to decide whether or not you want to do something, you say you're going to do it and then if you fail people will know. I think there's value in that

What if you could get badge for completing challenges? The challenge creator can decide to upload, say, a 100x100 image and those who complete the challenge get the badge on their profile, and there are special badges for those who attain milestones such as 10 challenges, 50 challenges, 100 challenges, etc. Also the badge of shame, of course. Someone could make a dragon dick challenge and draw a dragon dick badge to give us as a reward, and then our reason for joining LAS will have been fulfilled.

I like the idea of official challenges every month or whatever with a badge reward.
The reason I'm pushing for challenge reporting and moderation is because I'd like challenge stats to show up on your profile, have them count towards the participation stat, have badges tied in, etc. I don't think that can be done if people just farm challenges with low effort submissions for points and badges.
I know people will be reading this and think it's too complicated or that it's ruining challenges but all I'm saying: if you don't complete the challenge then you shouldn't receive the same rewards as those that did. Whether that's to have an empty imgur album deleted, a partial submission flagged as incomplete, etc
