I don't like the slow ballad at the start. It sounds so boring especially when pitted against some of the good ballads in soshi's catalog. The livlier part is better but still sounds generic, like a watered down hodge-podge of gold standard holiday tunes like "All I Want for Christmas Is You", "Here Come Santa Claus", and Holly Jolly Christmas".
The MV was my favorite part. All the outfits were great, and all three girls look great. I especially like the different sets, especially the Christmas tree set and the "town" set. And I also like that there's some semblance of a story - a riff on the "trapped in a winter wonderland" theme. But the dumb everyShot product placement was egregious and offensive. And also who the hell is the kid at 2:18? I assume he's some SM exec's son who was shoehorned into the "story".
Lastly, I find Tiffany's English very sweet and endearing and not "do you believe the situation"-tier like we expect from SM.
Overall it's decent - and actually it's great that TTS did this at all when you consider SNSD's lengthy comeback earlier this year with Party/Lion Heart, plus Taeyeon's solo debut. But it probably won't be added to my holiday playlist, and it feels strange to listen to it at any other time of year so I can't imagine it gets many replays from me.

Well, it seems SM are continuing with their creepy MVs. I've watched each version only once but like the Lion Heart MV this one's got some nice satanic imagery. It's obvious when they're together they represent one thing, like at the beginning and at the end when they're holding the "invitation" which was fashioned by the boy (the Anti-christ) and given to them by the Lion (Satan). In the english version one of the last lines goes

Down, down down into hell is the implications. The MV is full of the "going down" theme. Tiffany going into a sewer for god's sake and seohyun crawling under a table where she was cooking (a reference to the destruction of women's femininity?) taeyeon in that same sequence discovers a blue pill shaped marker which she uses to draw imaginary lines and balloons. This is the only scene with an upward movement as she floats with her drawing, the implication here being that salvation is illusory and santa (satan) is taking us down whether you draw your balloons or not
Also taeyeon is sitting on a crescent moon swing. That strikes me as significant I just don't know how yet
