What would modern-day versions of ancient uniforms look like? Pic related is what a modern day Roman Soldier would look like, according to the movie "Coriolanus".

Wolfenstein: The New Order has an interesting concept for what a modern day Nazi uniform would look like.

>R
>not SPQR
I'm gonna guess there is no senate in this alternate universe.
>>979096
And what a boring design it is. Would have been more fun if they went along with the romans hate for pants and made some sort of toga design and not go for the generic military hat shape.
>>979096
Change the patch from the Italian flag to a round SPQR patch, and you're set.

Black is a very elegant color. It just looks terrible on the skin.

With some dark blue and yellow trim here and there, Swedish uniforms would look like that of Caroleans'. Maybe also a black beret with yellow trim, because baseball caps are pretty shitty.

It's a modern day alternate version of Rome. It's repeatedly said that the location is Rome. The actual play itself takes place in Rome. It's meant to be Rome.

You're only just realising this? Embrace it and let the shitposting flow all over you.

You really didn't get what he said did you.
>>979577
If the script of a movie describes the location, then that's the location. This isn't a hard concept. That's like saying "I know the character said they were in Germany but it's not in Germany because I said so". You're really not making sense here.

we rome now cuckboi

This, they basically look like muhreens.
Scotts actually wore kilts in modern warfare. And military traditions are all about tradition. Those uniforms don't show any tradition. Given that a hat is almost 100% ceremonial or for tradition, especially in a dress uniform, there is no reason not to use something Rome inspired.

Literally SS collar tabs.
Lazy ass costume designers.

Why is the stahlhelm so fucking sexy?
Parade uniforms are stupid and only used for show and cameras. The rest of the time it's always work/camouflage unforms. Should just stop making those desu
>>980408
It's a really nice looking helmet desu. The modern PASGT helmet is similar. For awhile, the U.S. army was still using those pot helmets, but they didn't provide sufficient protection. So, they created the new ones based on the design of the stalhelm. I forget what the Stalhelm was based off of though.
