We are living world peace, it's never been so fucking peaceful in history, nations aren't fucking each other up all the time, what little conflicts between countries there are, they are still small scale and we are looking at civil conflicts more than anything. Television hypes every conflict, and shows so much footage, people just feel disgusted by it.
Who wants war? You can idealize it in book and history, but when you see the reality of it, it absolutley changes your perspective of it, there's no good thing out of it.

Nowadays we really do have a globally interlocked economy. Losing any significant trading partner would crash most nation's economies with no survivors. Business has no borders.
