The grammatical and syntactical structure of your question already begs the question. What "is" truth assumes that truth is a substantive. Furthermore, you also presuppose the meaning of "is-ness." So before we ask the question of what is truth, we must answer the question of Being.

The problem with that is that statement in Greek actually translates on the basis of logos and aletheia. Word being translated from logos. And truth being translated from aletheia. And so, logos means a whole lot more than just word in our average sense of word, as in the biblical word. Furthermore, aletheia means a whole lot more than just truth as that which is corresponding or in accordance to some fact, etc.
So again, this begs the question
What is logos?
What is aletheia?

There is only selfishness in the world, society only 'works' by the individuals separating themselves from it so we take from this substance something to ourselves. Let me put my point of view more clearly: by doing what I think is right, by taking of care of myself I open the greater possibility of being useful. To take a very crude example, the more rich I am (which is generally viewed as egoism) the more I have the possibility, through an investment in a factory or whatever, to create jobs for other people, not because of my pure intentions mind you, but because is in the very nature of money to circulate, to exist-for-another.
What the individual does IS what is right, but not because some solipsist or misantropic philosophy but exactly the other way around: there is no pure singular individual which is not also part of the social substance.
