Napoleonic Wars Thread.
Daily reminder that Napoleon a shit and was brought down by his own hubris
>Muh constant expansion
>Having a bigger army = being a better general
>Continental blockade is a good plan XD
>>906072
I mean he was good, one of the reasons he lost so many land battles towards the end of the wars was because other armies started using his own tactics against him
>>906085
>Use same tactics over and over again
>Wonder why they get countered
>'Good'
>>906072
>le Napoleonic expansion meme
>>906091
>conquerors swaths of continental European land
must have been a pretty good general
>>906097
Why don't these great /his/ memes spread to other boards ;_;
>>906103
>1812
>3 years later reduced to a shit hole in Western Europe
>Good general
>>906112
>haha why didn't you beat every other country in Europe on your own haha what a shit general
>>906112
Empires rise and fall. The point is he got to that point by being an excellent general. Yes, by the time the Wars were over, France was the cum dumpster of Europe, with any nation being able to rape it any time they chose. But Napoleon, for however brief the time, created a continental European empire from the shitty remains of a revolution.
>>906136
>implying Napoleon's empire wasn't noteworthy.
>great """""""""""""patriotic""""""""""""" war of 1812
>all russia did was flee and burn down their own villages
>>906136
>>Not understanding your limits
>>Being a good general
>>Haha
>haha why didn't you just not get attacked if you wanted to win so much
>>906151
>Best defense is a good offense XD XD

>>906112
>Austrians, British, Prussians, and Russians so scared of Napoleon's return in 1815 they declare war on the man
>Not the French Empire
>Not France itself
>But directly on Napoleon
>"Bad" general
Holy shit Anglo butthurt is for real even 200 years later
>>906163
And he did real well after that didn't he
>Anglo butthurt
>Nelson isn't the real all time OG
>Real power not coming from the sea
>>906174
You know that all the records show he was trying to avoid a war and wrote diplomatic messages to everyone to avoid fighting. He wasn't even the aggressor and knew the French weren't fully prepared for a war with the rest of Europe.
Holy shit you are a biased mother fucker.
>>906175
Except Prussians did more at Waterloo then faggot English did. Wellington a shit.
>>906180
>Compensating for your height and trying to conquer the whole of Europe
>Realise you're fucked
>'Hai guyz lets not fight lol hahah'
>>906182
>>906188
>Compenstating for your height
He was the average height as any other European white man in the early 19th century. That was British propaganda. Congratulations on still believing that shit 200 years later.
Nice propaganda loving bullshit.
>>906188
>le manlet napoleon meme
This is a shit meme even ironically.
>>906188
>Napoleon was short
Britfag spotted
>>906182
No one is denying Blücher's massive Prussian Wang
>>906222
But overinflating Wellington's part is denying it. Especially ignoring the other factors like the fact France was not prepared for a war and did not one in the first place.
>>906182
Wellington wasn't even English
>>906228
He identified as English and his family is mixed Irish and English.
>>906228
>born in Ireland
>fucking hated the Irish
>>906236
>fucking hated the Irish
where are the proofs
>>906243
>>Being '''average''' height and not having a manlet mindset
>>Have you ever met anyone around 5'10"?

"Being born in a stable does not make one a pig"
Or at least he held disdain got them while was growing up.
>>906265
>Pigs live in stables
>>906265
Okay for a start it's "Being born in a stable does not make one a horse"
And secondly Wellington didn't say that. Daniel O'Connell did. Specifically because he didn't like Wellington identifying as an Irishman.
>>906265
he didn't say that you plonker
>>906265
embarrassingly inaccurate
>>906182
Britain didn't defeat Napoleon on it's own, but it did more than anyone to beat him. Britain's navy strangled France's overseas trade, it's money helped finance the large continental armies of Napoleon's opponents, and it's diplomacy brought together the various coalitions against France. And I think I'm right in saying Britain was the only opponent of France to fight the Napoleonic wars from beginning to end.
>>908653
>it's diplomacy brought together the various coalitions against France
They formed the coalition out of fear, not because of England.
>>908683
plebs side with whoever they fear the most
