For me, the Victorian era, boring as fuck, pretty much everything that came out of it is boring, literature, art, music, etc.

I really hate how women (and it's almost always women) like these shitty victorian novels like Wuthering Heights or Oliver Twist. Like, holy shit, it's just a bunch of people getting shit on for 300 pages, were these authors trying to give people clinical depression?

I can see it. I personally don't mind it so much as far as imperial politics and Western Hemisphere stuff goes (American development, Brazilian lagging) but yeah, there wasn't much good literature
