It's assembled to keep the viewer's attention (probably the process and the sequences at the NGO central are staged for explaining to the viewer how it works), but the filmmakers have risked their life for the "heavy" parts, those are all real (like, the arrest performed by the revolutionary forces was true and on the newspapers of the time).
All the documentary is too soft with the brits, but it is well balanced the current politically correct silence, and the war/revolution shots are real History Book tier footages.
