I live in Canada and I acknowledge my country has plenty of skeletons in their closet, especially on our treatment of natives. Stuff like residential schools are still shockingly recent and it's stuff our government still tries to kick under the rug. People who pretend Canada is pristine piss me off.
That said, when compared to most countries, Canada's history isn't that vicious. Especially when compared to our southern neighbors and our old friends across the Atlantic.
