Why did polytheism fail?
>>834907
I want to say "It's all the Jews' fault" somehow.
>>834907
It didn't, there are still billions of polytheists.
>>834956
take off your trip pls
>>834922
I know it's a meme to say, but this isn't too far from the truth.
>>834907
Christianity is polytheism.
>>834965
W-what if the Jews started the "I bet the Jews did this" meme so when the Jews ACTUALLY did it, nobody would believe us?
Oh G-d. I mean, God.
>>834971
nice meme
>>834971
It has polytheistic elements=/= it's polytheistic.
>>834972
kek
What if it's always been the Jesuits scapegoating the jews?
Literally Plato.
He set up a metaphysical world that is more fitting for mono than polytheism.
There are certain logical conclusions that must follow if you hold poly or monotheism as an axiom.
This is a good video explaining it.

>>835005
Well, for one thing there were Jews (and Jews being scapegoated) long before there were Jesuits.
On the other hand I am a Jesuit so maybe better don't believe me.
>>834971
Christianity isn't, but Catholicism is.
The OP is false.
Babylonian polythenisn is still ripe, Satan have just found other ways to use it to trick Humanity by making us think it really isn't Polytheism.
A good example is Halloween, where he tricks millions of children to go out and worship whatever idols he can think off.
>>835027
I think this is a pretty good example of how the Jesuit works.
While making a claim he do give us a reason to not believe the claim, though that reason is delivered as a joke.
Already getting an counter argument to his own (missleading) argument we won't think of one for ourselves, but since the counterargument is just an unserious joke we will soon forget it in favor of the Jesuit's argument for something
Aka, Jesuit brainwashing happens.
Last time I checked Hinduism is still going 1 billion+ strong, OP
>>835057
>one religion, tied almost exclusively to a single nation and its descendants
>meanwhile the entire Western world and all of its former colonies are Abrahamic
>>835057
And last time I checked most Hindus are actually Monotheists with all the minor gods just being different forms of the main one.
>>835055
Shh, just embrace the Societas Iesu, Anon. We can help you.
>>835079
>Believe in one single Divine mind
>Said mind got the ability to take several various forms
How isn't that less Monotheism than the holy trinity m8?
>>835078
The black robes cannot save themselves from hellfire; they have no interest in helping anyone do so on their own.
>>835079
Must....resist....Jesuit Mind Trick...
>Why did Polytheism fail
Because people really, really like hierarchy. They ache for order.
>>835095
Apostate pls, the SJ is probably the single most beneficial educational institution the Church has ever had the pleasure of existing with.
>>835103
That wasn't even me, anon.
We're not everywhere.
But don't look behind you.
>>835033
filthy, dumb, protestant scum
>>835119
>Implying I am not a moron that quotes the wrong post because stupidity
>>835127
That does make more sense.
Not to imply that we're not still watching you, though.
>>835132
>Watching me
How disgusting is it to watch someone draw furry stuff on his spare time?
>>835119
The Vatican is the most evil institution on earth, and the black robes are the most evil people on earth. Directly dealing with satan and bringing the Antichrist to power evil.
Pure evil.
>>835124
No clue why in one post you're pissed off when people say Christianity isn't Catholicism, and then in your next post make sure it's clear that your Catholicism is not Christianity.
Maybe you're just irrational papist filth. Maybe that.
>>834907
Where?
Between Catholics, Hindus, African folk religions and the various and sundry religions of east asia I'd say that polytheism is alive and well.
>>835169
I was never in the Whore of Babylon, and never will be.
Because of the emergence of multi-ethnic empires that required a single "ritual" source of power
>>835094
you realize that's a later interpretation of the vedas? Their were theologians in the roman-greco world who believed the same things about paganism. There are definitely polytheistic varieties of Hinduism.
>>834961
Complaining about tripfags is pointless these days. Wearing a trip is actually doing people a favour, since it means filtering them becomes an option.
Christian ended the great polytheism of Europe. Islam ended the polytheism in Arabia. The asian countries never had any of this and are still strongly polytheist. So are many afro syncretic religions
>>835806
>Blames others for shilling
>Discredits Alberto Riviera
How much do they pay you by post?
It failed in the West because being in a polytheist cult was expensive. It was also politically divisive. Which is why Rome used Christianity as a unifying tool.
Considering that Roman Catholicism has you building shrines and praying to thousands of saints I would hardly say polytheism is dead in the western world.
>>838117
Though none of these saints got any power by themselves, they simply work as a meddler between the one praying and God.
Catholicism may believe in a God that is weaker than the Protestant one, since he needs other to come and talk to him to hear the prayers of his subjects, but I wouldn't say it goes as far as being polytheist.
Monotheism is more hostile towards competitors than polytheism.
>>835806
You mean the guy who said that Islam was created by the vatican?
>>838166
Different Anon, but yes.
>>834907
Monotheism preferable for dictators.
Idea is simple: you can't choose god, so you can't choose a ruler of country, so fuck off, shut up and pray.
Also islam is polytheism too, every 'name' of allah such different, thus can be consider as different figures in unite like holy trinity like holy hundredty.
