Using this map, they probably would have regrouped in Holland and Belgium, started an underground network in Switzerland, overthrow the monarchies of Holland and Belgium, invade and retake French Germany and start the whole war all over again
One of the valuable lessons from this period was that we no longer lived in an era where borders could just go anywhere, they had to be defined by nationality in a way that caused as least friction as possible. Belgium is the former Austrian/Spanish Netherlands and was called the Southern Netherlands, but the majority of modern Flanders is non-Flemish lands and consists for a large part out of Brabant,of which the Northern part of Brabant is called North-Brabant which is situated in the South of the Kingdom of the Netherlands alongside Limburg - which is incidentally also shared between the Netherlands and Belgium to the South East, but are basically more like Germany than Lowlands desu - who are seemingly occupied by Belgium in OP's pic, along with the Southern region of Zeeland which is called Zeelandic Flanders, and isn't a part of modern day Belgium or Flanders.

One major reason for everyone fucking each other over was France being cunts after WW1, that in turn was due to Germany being cunts after the Franco-Prussian war. Someone had to end the cycle of destruction, and we all know it wouldn't be the Germans.
