The Russian Empire was a backwards agricultural country, but was slowly getting better. The Baltic countries, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Hungary and Romania, today post-communist countries known for corruption and for being less developed, could be on the level of the rest of Europe. Although Yugoslavia would likely collapse anyway; there'd probably be a war between the Serbs and the Croats. But it is a fact that communism made these countries stagnate - let's not forget that the main reason for Western Europe's development after WW2 was the Marshall plan - the East did not receive any money after the war.

Yugoslavia was probably one of the better countries of the Eastern bloc and call me autistic if im wrong but wasn't Yugoslavia not part of the eastern bloc because Tito didn't want outside influence from the soviet union, and wanted to be included in the Marshall plan

They were kind of a grey area, due to Tito not taking the soviet's shit, yeah. Hungary was considered to be the most "relaxed" part, mainly due to 1956, the country was called the happiest barrack. Look up Goulash Communism if you're interested

The main reason was that he didn't want Yugoslavia to become a Soviet puppet, which it would become as part of the Informbiro. It also helped with Yugoslavia's relations with the West. It was less Marshall plan and more loans.
