How much different would the world have been if the continents had remained in the Pangaea formation?

britain would still be the centre of the world :^)

Thered be a massive interior desert. Like, truly massive, makes the Sahara look like a kid's sandbox. Using that map, basically all of Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela, the USA east of the Rockies, Canada east of their Rockies, everything in south Greenland, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, most of Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Ethiopia, Somalia, most of Pakistan, most of India, Ceylon, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, and a good portion of Argentina, and everything in between, would all be desert.
Hurricanes like you can't even understand, too, thanks to the Panthallasic Ocean allowing for huge buildups.

Completely.
Might as well try to imagine what would have happened if cavemen had been teleported all over Middle Earth.

Why would there be such a massive desert?
>>68883
Continental climate. Basically no proximity to any water source
>>66527
Wtf happened with iran?
>>66527
There would be a gigantic desert in the middle and the ocean would've been toxic. Nothing really interesting desu
>>68883
Because the climate would have a bitch of a time circulating the moisture that far inward. Remember, a desert is defined by a lack of moisture, so the interior of Pangeae, like it was back in the Triassic Permian, would've been dry, hot, and pretty damn barren. Also the lack of really any major water sources when you move away from the coastline will do that. Or maybe there were large bodies of water and we just don't have any evidence for them.

In a word? Tectonics. You should see what happens to North America throughout geologic history. Shit gets torn up, thrown back together, and thrown around more times than we can count.

Lots more indians cause everyone is already connected, few colonies maybe.
War fare would change greatly, imagine the railroads. Navies would be ignored for the most part, except for the european and chinese bits.
Pic related might be common place once they figured out the issues

Forget Iran, look at india
mmmmm Washington State being so far away from India makes me happy
>>66527
Pangia is always put together from coast lines and never the continental shelves.

>the ocean would've been toxic.
why?
