Any philosophies or schools of thought that can help me enjoy stuff again?
>>
Better find out why you're not enjoying stuff. Work out, get an active sex life and pursue a career in something you're passionate about.

Pretty much this. Who knew playing vidya and fapping all day is empty and unfulfilling?

Honestly I'm just in some sort of trance. Feels like I'm in a void of sorts. Most of my thoughts deal with meaningless existential questions that serve no point but to confuse me. For example, I get seriously concerned over matters such as "What will happen to _____ in the future" or "Why do (certain people) do (certain things)". It doesn't help that I have severe OCD.
>>
>>591675
Have you tried drugs?
>>
>>591661
You probably have anhedonia.

You should stop trying so hard enjoying things, and just starting going for long walks, and taking a break from using the computer/fapping to porn/playing video games for a while.
>>
>>591664
Also, nobody seems to like me. I try so hard to be somebody likable, but it never bodes well for me. I have naturally off-putting vibes about me I guess. Can't make friends or fuck bitches like that.
>>
>>591677
I'm on Lexapro right now. If you didn't mean pharmaceuticals, 9/10 on weed I get bad anxiety attacks.
>>
>>591685
Do you work?

highschool senior

School occupies my mind, I generally feel better there. So I get what you're trying to say.
>>
>>591693
Perhaps you should try getting a part-time job to spirit away your mind or try getting a hobby?
>>
>>591698
>>591698
Even if I do either of those things, I'll still have the anxious thoughts similar to the ones in >>591675

that's kind of why I posted this /r9k/-tier thread on /his/. I actually want a self-help philosophy

Part of it is I also don't know how much is OCD and how much is genuine existentially nihilistic musings

Learn phycoanaylysis if you want to know why people do certain things
Maybe learn sociology if you want to know what might happen in the future

I found Camus and Satre a good start on how to live life better

You probably want to look into psychology and neurology more.

Look into classical conditioning and how people develop phobias and other things that trigger emotional reactons, fetishes and so forth.

Also, with leaping to conclusions like a tumblrina who self-diagnoses as having multiple mental illnesses and without getting into silly pseudoscience, look into depression, bipolar disorder, autism and ADHD. Look into how exercise and a proper diet can improve your mood. Eat sardines like /r9k/ does,
>>
>>591661
*without* leaping to conclusions rather, obviously you don't want to be like a tumblrina

There are also tonnes of good resources for learning all this stuff on the web
I like to attack learning by getting as many trusted resources as I can dealing with the same topic and forming an understanding from all the presented information

Learning to let go of shit is important, It's in many schools of thought. Stoicism, Buddhism etc. But you can't rely on schools of thought to make you happy alone, you have to get out there and live.

Instead of trying to "enjoy stuff again", try to look for something else.

Stoicism is probably the most reliable way to find happiness. But your purpose is not so much to "enjoy stuff again", but rather to achieve happiness regardless of what happens.
Epicureanism is another alternative. Happiness found on a simple life, without bullshit. But it is weaker than Stoicism, IMO.

>Better find out why you're not enjoying stuff. Work out, get an active sex life and pursue a career in something you're passionate about.

That's an awful suggestion. Yeah, try to find happiness on sex and work. This is totally a great idea that totally did not ruin a fuckload of people.

What's wrong with that?
At least learn body language because that's a method of subconscious communication that you can easily pick up on?

The stranger isn't about killing arabs, it's about finding what actually makes people happy, which is the sun, woman and being healthy, mersaults detachment is a result of not complying to the social constructs of the world
